Not to sound arrogant as hell, but yeah, I totes prefer my Doublemint Misha theory over Jimmy's Still Around, They Just Forgot Him In That Ep kind of incompetent plotting leading to major squick in Cas' arc.

Srsly, having there be a Jimmy AND a Castiel separate from each other makes sense to me. Sort of making them like divine twins or something, like Castor and Pollux. However, I just love the idea of Cas running into Jimmy ....whose been hiding out, along with his family, by the very person/thing that resurrected them both. If not God Himself, then Michael or some other superpowered angel loyal to God.

really, the fact that they didn't bother to say anything about jimmy before the whorehouse shenanigans gave me some v. bad vibes about the whole scnene in general. it would have only taken a few extra lines of dialogue! even the most mediocre fanfic writer can manage it.

Dude, they better have saved the Jimmy business for some big reveal (hence why it was conspicuously absent in 5.03) otherwise you're so right about them coming off as lousy, careless fanfic writers. They frickin' gave a whole ep to Jimmy last season (we've never had a Castiel ep yet despite him being new regular!) AND the pains they took to tell us Ruby's new vessel was empty. Yet they're so slapdash with Castiel's arc they just fail to mention Jimmy was in there the whole time while Cas was ready to infect his body with a bunch of STDs? That's one big pile of WTF mixed with a side of bullshit. That would be like they were more careful with Ruby than Castiel!
