i don't like the "awesome!sam" label for d/c fics.

it just strikes me as, i dunno, overly defensive/trying too hard. like, "SEE? I AM A D/C SHIPPER WHO PUTS SAM IN THEIR FICS! COME SEE HOW AWESOME I HAVE HIM BE! I'M NOT A SAM HATER! LOOK HOW MUCH I DON'T HATE SAM BY HAVING HIM DO SAM THINGS ON MY D/C FIC!"

oh my god yes, those get on my nerves so much. as does the phrase ~AWESOME LADIES~. i didn't know why, but maybe you got it: it tries to sound supportive but it ends up being cutesy and patronizing.

poor awesome. such an awesome word, so abused by obnoxious people.
