what's not to love about this? the style is adorable and expertly done (illustrator + photoshop touch-ups) this person obviously knows her tools. it has a lovely, romantic atmosphere.

520 words full of emotion, untold feelings mutually discovered through touch and a lovely bit of post-full moon h/c. i loved the feeling of intimacy on this.

The truth: logic isn't in the lump in his throat, in his stuttering pulse. He needs the certainty of his name on someone else's lips, which means he needs Malfoy...

the wizarding world begins to disappear... how? i don't want to say much else about this for fear of spoiling it... it's a beautiful, dreamlike, chilling AU with an ending that will leave you with a strange mixture of happiness and sadness for the characters. it's on the short side (a little over 4k words), but effective.

for those of us who like their james angry and a bastard and their r/j intense and rough to the point of violence.
(as an aside, it seems like 9 out of 10 of the fics in that community have something to do with me. it feels awfully circlejerky!)

i feel that on the surface this fic is r at most, but when you let your mind be hijacked by the situation and imagery created, it becomes filthy like a very filthy thing. and that is totally appreciated. the intense feeling of anticipation does all the work here.

• my prompt: harry; spying on remus/sirius and fantasizing about being in the place of the one getting fucked (doesn't matter who)
• the fic: seen from above by esmestrella. r/s + imaginary sirius/harry. nc-17

i was really excited when this prompt was claimed, and with good reason, because this is great. r/s as seen by harry was delicious (and i loved the mini slice of mid-sex banter), and his fantasy equally so. and he shows himself to be a devious little thing by the end.

• my prompt: harry/sirius: dub/non-con, harry using a love potion on sirius. make it dark; obsessive, messed-up harry a plus.
• the fic: the evolution of fear by la_dissonance. r
Harry knows that Sirius loves him—the only thing keeping them apart now is fear.

i'm not exactly sure why i asked for that, except for wanting to see something like this written again, because i've been a bit fascinated with the idea ever since i read it (that being harry coercing sirius instead of the usual other way around for a real, unhealthy reason, instead of a *~kinky~* one.) i found this one far more chilling than hot and interesting beyond the sex aspect. but i'm one of those freaks that read non-con to get inside the characters' heads and pick at their mental problems instead of to get off. :p anyway, it's worth reading no matter which one of the two you end up doing. ;]

He can't believe he never knew, not through seven years of school and a full year after.

what's better than a tarted-up sirius? a dirty, disheveled, debauched tarted-up sirius. and a remus that finds himself unexpectedly turned on by that.

• my prompt: teddy/albus severus, the boys get it on in al's room, but they have to be quiet or else the entire family will hear them. no silencing charms! make it a challenge.
• the fic: under the skin by leashy_bebes. nc-17
Normally Teddy lives his life full of concern for the Potters and how they feel, but there's something about Albus that brings out the worst in Teddy, that makes him reckless and selfish.

i had something completely different in mind for this prompt, but the result delivered something much better. i have a huge thing for dysfunctional next-gen and this fic satisfied that, in the sense that i really want to hit both teddy and al, because man, do they have issues here, but i'd rather watch them have lots of angry, forceful, *reckless* sex before doing that.

bonus rec!

• prompt: remus/sirius: awkward first time with fair amount of kissing because they don't want to chance looking each other in the eye. then, the day after, acting self-conscious around each other, but going at it in a broom closet despite the awkward tension.
• fic: teenage hustling by duck_or_rabbit. remus/sirius, nc-17

not my prompt, but imo it's by far the best thing to come out of that meme. it's intimate, and awkward, and it has a sort of... desperation isn't the word i'm looking for, but sirius's longing and jealousy and confusion is just so strong and had a big effect onh me as a reader. there are some great lines to be found here. i'd recommend this even to people who don't care much for the self-conscious virgin sirius/self-assured, experienced remus dynamic.

some of my prompts were left unanswered, feel free to grab them:

3) (this one i didn't manage to get in before prompt-leaving closed) james/lily: a hex/potion turns lily into a boy for a time (long enough for the issue of sex to become important, i guess). james finds out this wasn't as bad as he thought it would be.
