UGHHHHH, CAS/ANNA MAKES ME WANT TO STAB THINGS. It's such a horrid idea for a million different reasons. Aside from the INCEST FACTOR HELLO WTF, angels are supposedly genderless; the writers have gone out of their way to beat us over the heads with this, so a sudden ~romantic~ relationship would be backtracking on what they've said before, which is a complete cop-out for the sake of conjuring some lame, homophobic plot device. Angels are supposedly emotionless, which means they shouldn't be able to ~fall in love~ with each other. Of course, the idiots shippers would use the excuse that "Anna is different because she fell!" or "Cas is becoming human so he's different!", but nnnnnnno. Anna got re-angeled, tyvm, and Cas has a couple of more pressing concerns to think about than a cheesy incestuous romance. Like, oh I don't know, the motherfucking Apocalypse.
ALSO, INCEST. If they make Cas/Anna canon, why not just take the next logical step and make Wincest canon? Ugh.
And yeah, yeah, the shippers use ridiculous under-the-radar excuses like "they're not really siblings since they didn't share a womb"/"Anna is the only one who knows what Cas is going through with his fall!"/etc, but really, come on, people. Creating some contrived, predictable, heternormative bullshit relationship would not only be the most boring storyline ever, it would also downplay the enormity of what Cas has gone through for Dean - and I don't even mean that in a Dean/Cas sense (much.) He's sacrificed so much in the name of the ~greater good~, so to suddenly interrupt his epic arc and throw in a random "OH HAY BTW I'M IN LOVE WITH MY SISTER, LET'S FOCUS ON THAT INSTEAD OF THE APOCALYPSE" would be so. fucking. stupid.
It's not even anything expressly against Anna as a character. Yes, I utterly despise her character, but I could stand her being around if the writers would just cut down on all the ridiculous sexual-centric storylines. Really, guys, there can be a such thing as a female character who's not a sex object or a love interest. Ffffff.
