2- i'm really excited about my hp_springsmut assignment! it's definitely a departure from my usual subjects.

3- the AU reclist has been updated with the fics from rs_small_gifts and hp_yule_balls. it's up to 240 fics now. i'm beginning to think it needs a bit of trimming...

4- EMBARRASSINGLY LATE BIRTHDAY GIFT FOR aldehyde! moonal, i'm so sorry this too me so long! i decided to kill two birds with the same stone and draw your gift and finish the WIP that got first place in the poll: the table!sex one. unfortunately i must say that the final result didn't live up to the initial idea (glaring mistakes everywhere!), but i hope you like it anyway. :]

speaking of the poll, i was supposed to get cracking on the post-full moon pic next, but i want to give that one a decent background and i don't think i'm up for detailed work just now. so expect some harry/draco next instead.

but first, i was doing some emergency clean-up on my LJ scrapbook and i found this thing:



which is a preview of this back when i was still fighting with it. i completely forgot i had ever uploaded it, but then again i had no memory of what was in my scrapbook unitl last night. remus looks really weird. i don't like his face in the finished one anymore either. :/

and now for what i really came to post. i randomly googled an author i used to be way into when i was in the gundam wing fandom (around 2003-2004). i found her stuff on mediaminer.org including a fic i totally loved back then (i'd probably get bored of it if i tried to read it again). and among the fic reviews i found MINE and oh god, i cringed. they were full of cutesy internet-speak, "teh" instead of the and such, and full of anime emoticons like o_O and ^○^ AAAAHHH. jesus. anyway the fic was your usual post-series story with the requisite duo-torture, relena-bashing, and One Big Happy Gundam Pilot Family, among other cliches. at least the plot was smart enough to redeem the rest of the cliches (somewhat. it was still excessively DARK!!!! and GOTH!!!) and wufei was the shit.

and well, every time i start reminiscing i end up drawing something.
those of you who can point out the cliche in the title: shut up.
