• i was going to watch hawaii five-0 tonight but turns out i'll be getting reruns until february. :| not pleased. i think i'll just dl what's left of the season.
• finished mockingjay yesterday. it was fun? well, aside from the peeta/katniss/gale bs which was easily the most uninteresting thing in the books. give me moar political conflict and character backstories instead. could have done without the epilogue (which, at least, wasn't as WTF in tone as the deathly hallows one. small blessings). to be honest, i never got truly into the books because the 1st person POV grated on me at several points. but that's my own bias, as 1st person isn't my favorite. and neither are love triangles. still, it kept me entertained during my bus trip, and that's all i wanted from it.
also: needs moar johanna. fierce bitch (emphasis on bitch).
• here are three fics i've enjoyed these last few days. just because.
+ in communication bytakadainmate, dean/castiel, r. Set somewhere between 6x03 and 6x06-ish. Cas isn't there. Dean thinks he should be.
+ west of the one bymoonlettuce, jensen/misha, nc-17. Jensen/Misha - they're stuck in a traffic jam during a roadtrip and their car radio isn't working. Misha finds a way (or several) to distract Jensen from boredom
+ thing of wings bytiny_antares, dean/castiel, sort of preslash, pg-13. Inspired by (and titled after) this drawing by Euclase; after Cas helps Dean, Dean pulls himself together in order to return the favor.
• slowly (but surely) beginning to mail their cards to people. sans candy, i'm afraid. i hope the cards make up for it!
