bawwwww

okay so uh... i read a few reports of misha and julie's panel on collectormania and misha got asked about jimmy and he said that it would be strongly implied that he was still around in a future episode. which makes me squirmy and not in a good way. i mean, i like jimmy. but... really. why bring that up *now*? why didn't cas say anything earlier, why didn't sam and dean ask earlier? so jimmy being alive is either so important that it had to be kept secret until the episode (doubtful) or they're just making it a relatively unimportant detail. or something. idek.

mostly i'm tryng to come up with a ton of scenarios.

* he's alive and kicking and apparently dean talking cas into using his body to have sex with a hooker doesn't matter at all HA HA wtf (i guess he could have given cas permission but idk)
* he's alive and kicking but he's going to get killed somehow in that same ep
* he's alive but cas didn't know it because he was/is comatose or whatever, poss. couldn't tell due to the loss of angel mojo
* he's alive and undamaged which means the possibilities of him going home to his family and cas going back to heaven never to be seen again when the season finishes increase. :[ call me a bad fan or whatever but i doubt i'd watch a 6th season if cas isn't around. :|

of course any of these would make writing dean/castiel a bit (more) difficult, but there have always been ~ways~ around the jimmy issue, so i'm not overly worried.

and lets not mention the anna/castiel panel wtfery which just makes me go ಠ_ಠ

so all of this combined with this dull, uneventful crapfest of a day, has got me feeling a little down. i'll go out and spend my birthday money tomorrow see if that cheers me up some.

(by the way, i just had to request an extension for my [livejournal.com profile] deancas_xmas deadline. fml.)

LOLOL, so basically Show has given up fighting the fans and decided that vessel consent and sibling relationships are no longer an issue and raep and incest are a-okay. Yay! Or rather, what the ever loving fuck?

Until Show confirms in an episode that Jimmy is still around, I'm going to stick to my personal canon that he died when Raphael vaporised Cas, mainly because the thought that they got this far (especially with the events of 5.03) without giving even a passing thought to Jimmy and his family is incredibly D: making. Would that also mean that Jimmy died anyway at some point in the 5 years that passed in 5.04? And if so, how? I'm hoping once again for a damn good explanation. Ugh, trust Kripke to give himself a perfect out and then decide not to take it.

As for the Cas/Anna thing, I can only assume that they're fucking with the fans. Even back in 4.16 their scenes together felt more like a little brother/big sister thing than ~sexual tension~ to me. Plus I'm pretty sure they're both good enough at their jobs to have been paying attention to the whole 'family of angels' thing that's been set up in this season.

Oh Show, constantly blurring the lines between between sanity and insanity. (On the other hand, all those Cas/Anna shippers who are in it because they find slash yucky but totally ignore the incestuous elements of their ship amuse me muchly.)

if that's what happens i'm gonna be like WTFFFFF CASTIEL SHIPPERS AND ANTI SHIPPERS ALIKE SPEND TIME WORRYING ABOUT VESSEL RAPE AND THEN CANON SAYS LOL FUCK YOU AND YOUR CONSENT CONCERNS. seriously... why give jimmy an entire episode dedicated to him only to forget about him later? i'm hoping, no, expecting a decent explanation for this.

i agree about 5x04. i can only imagine that jimmy's soul was somehow forced to leave his body or died and disappeared with cas' grace. the same thing could be happening even now -- he might be still alive, but in what state?

i dunno man. i can totally see thr writers pulling a bullshit explanation out of their asses ("oh but anna fell so it's not the same"/"cas is becoming human so it's not the same"/"they only call each other brothers and sisters symbolically so it's not the same" [nevermind that it's the dynamic here that's important, not the literal definition of family] etc etc.)

most of those cas/anna shippers go with bullshit explanation #3, i'm sure.
