Several pairings. Some old, some new.

What Is a Library For? by anonymous at
hp_summersmut. Tonks/Percy, NC-17.
When Tonks and Percy are accidentally trapped in a Ministry library, they find ways to keep themselves occupied.Funny, hot, playful and wonderful characterizations, particularly Percy (boy's got it going on!) This is my first Percy/Tonks fic and, honestly, thanks to this fic, I find myself shipping them a little. :D The best part is probably the little "I've had sex in a weirder place than you" competition that goes on right before the sex scene.

Winter Come and Gone (People are Strange when You're a Stranger Remix) by
melusinahp. Harry/Sirius, R.
Harry helps Sirius understand that there are fates worse than death.I've said this before, but i have a difficult relationship with this pairing. As an abstract the idea is somewhat interesting, but most of the fic makes me sick in some way or other, no matter how well-written. This is not true for this one, which could sound weird, because the relationship here is anything but happy or loving or even barely functional. But that's how I like my Harry/Sirius.
This is a resurrection fic. Harry brings back a Sirius with no memories of his life, and nothing Harry does or shows him can get through to him (pensieve memories, photos, lust-inducing potions). Harry is desperate, damaged and obsessive, not realizing that he's holding Sirius prisoner in 12GP again. Sirius is... empty. there's no other word to describe him. All I wanted for him in this fic was death, again, to let him go back and rest. And I wanted to shake Harry and yell at him. I also detected a minuscule hint of R/S that I'm probably hallucinating, but that I liked anyway. ;]

Untitled by
losselen (the author is no longer active in LJ). Remus/Sirius, R.
Sirius comes back. With dementia praecox.
Another "Sirius comes back wrong" fic. I have this on my AU reclist, but it deserves a separate mention. I usually favor a more straightforward style, but here the language ("crack-floating-surrealist style" as one commenter put it) creates images that are as disturbing as they are beautiful (such as the ones referring to Sirius's appearance), and well worth the read. Note that, like the one above, this does not end with sunshine and happiness.

Not Ever Coming Back by
derryere. Regulus/James, R (for language)
In which James writes a letter and Regulus is constantly most decisively not ever coming back.Poor James trying to be a dick, trying to not care and not quite managing it, and poor Regulus being emo and immature, jealous and troubled, threatening to go away forever and not quite managing it -- until he does. And James is at a loss. I loved seeing Regulus through James's eyes (I cracked up at several points in the story). To save you any possible confusion, the fic goes backwards in time, and the fate of the locket isn't canon-compliant.

The "Things" Series by
freudian_fuckup. Remus/Sirius, PG-13, later R.
What can I say about this? Both boys are so adorable and awkward and horny and complicated and frustrating and slightly crazy. Absurdly funny at times, amazingly introspective at some other times, and some
other times both at once. I could never tire of this series. It's slightly reminiscent of Shoebox, only better.
rs_games recs maybe tomorrow.
