wow, i haven't posted much at all this month, haven't i? then again, i still feel like it's the first week of april rather than a little over a week away from may.

my reasons for not posting much has been that nothing much *has* been going on. i've been drawing lots, but haven't been posting it becasuse i don't want to spam you guys with fanart for a fandom that maybe 5 people in my flist care about, so i'm hoarding them until i feel it's time for a doodle dump (which might be soon). i do have some d/c stuff around, which i might post today or tomorrow.

i graduate this year (hopefully) so that's got me kinda busier than usual re: school.

also, since i'm cheating on spn with resident evil, i've been hanging out on tumblr a lot. there's a really cool group of re fans over there and i've been having a lot of fun spamming porn and the like.


another thing that happened is that over a month ago i fell down the stairs at home and sprained my ankle for the 100000000th time. i've been limping around since then, and now i need to get physical therapy for my ankle because the sprain turned out to be worse than expected. too bad my parents have no medical insurance at the moment and the treatment costs lots of $$$$$. i'm looking into my college's student insurance which should help with the cost... if i can get any help from my POS school (some of you might remember the shit i and my classmates went through with them a year ago or so).

maybe i should just get a foot transplant.

• i dropped out of spn_reversebang. i just... wasn't feeling it. i'm a bit sad about it, because i really wanted to use this as a chance to branch out a bit, but i completely lost interest in my own idea along the way. :/

• i'm not completely recovered yet, fuck knows why, but i'm going to indulge in some independence day celebrations anyway. kind of ridiculous that it's celebrated this month since our true declaration of independence happened in february 1818, NOT in september 1810, so this "200 years of independence, party hard" is just... yeah. but i guess changing it now would be pretty pointless. anyway, normally i wouldn't bother, especially since 2010 has been a pretty crap year for the country in a lot of ways, but i'm sick of being cooped up at home or at the apartment. so i'm going to go out, drink some booze for a change, and eat some asado.

• i'm halfway into my 4th consecutive playthrough of re4. i'm playing professional mode. i plan to go for a fifth after i'm done. D: I'M AN ADDICT. i admit that i chickened out and put ashley in the indestructible suit or armor but i don't care because unffff yes to leon in his mobster suit.

• there might be d/c art in the near future. man, has it really been over a month since the last one?

- i haven't played RE4 in nearly two weeks, because i'm getting close to the last chapter and i don't want the game to end... so i've stopped playing. i'm not the only one who does that... am i?

- post-apocalyptic tokyo scenery, a series of stunning digital paintings that's making me want to reread "the world without us". thanks to piperdox for linking to this.

- my youngest sister is playing twilight princess. she's the only one who has expressed an interest in my favorite videogame series ever. I'M SO PROUD. :')

- planning a meet up with aldehyde and fera_festiva, hopefully at some point next year. i anticipate this will be a challenge, seeing as we both live in different continents and i've never been out of the country on my own, but i'm quite confident it will happen. unless i get lost in the airport or something. D:

so i'm done with school for the semester. i now have a little over 2 weeks of vacations. i don't really feel like talking about it because today was my last final and i presented a piss-poor project and my teachers didn't have a single positive thing to say about it and blaaah after 5 minutes of moping i got over it. i'm dropping out of that class next semester anyway. whatever.

i'm still going to be pretty busy. here's my list of stuff to do/stuff i'd LIKE to do

- finish spnrarepairs art. which is about 80% done. i really need an art beta for this, any takers? i only ask that you GET BACK TO ME after i email you the artwork, it's happened before that some of you offer and i never get an answer. srsly, guys.
- wait for bauble to finish her deancasbigbang draft so that i can get cracking on the illustrations
- do some more work on red_squared's help_chile commission
- come up with something for spn_reversebang WHY DID I EVEN SIGN UP FOR THIS
- draw fera_festiva's ridicuously late bday art, oh god fera i'm so sorry
- draw something for annundriel because she keeps listening to me when i plant fic ideas into her head and for sekritly writing two of my blindfold_spn prompts
- possible mini collab thingy with emerald_embers (i dunno when that will happen though)

i will also maybe make plans to see my poor abandoned friends and see snow up close irl for the first time in my 23 years of existence.

• two nights ago i heard a jingling noise outside my bedroom. thinking it was my cat, i opened the window... and this kitten jumped in. we have no idea where he came from. he has a collar on. my mom and i went out to look for the owners but it was too late and most had all the lights in their houses off. so we gave him food and water and he spent the night outside our kitchen. i had him in my room for a while i'm pretty sure he is the most hyperactive and cuddly kitten i've never met.

morning after i went out with the kitten again and asked house to house, to no avail. so i took that photo (it took me like 15 minutes because he wouldn't stop moving) printed out some flyers and went out again with mom to put them on the street. at least we found a home for him if the owners don't show up in a couple days.

and no, we can't keep him. too many animals in the house already.

oh, and that same night, ANOTHER kitten, stray for the looks of him, got into our yard, and the dog turned into a rabid beast at the sight of it. poor thing was backed up into a corner with me in front of him trying to kick the dog away from him until my dad yelled at the dog and he went away. there was no way we could take in another cat even for a couple nights (until we could drop them off at a shelter) so i took him and dropped him off away from our house (in another people's property, heh), but i felt terrible. i think my house is a magnet for small lost animals. we've had 2 kittens, one puppy and several budgies show up.

• i was supposed to write an essay for tomorrow but i didn't even finish my reading. i tried, really, i did. great way to start the school year, self. i have 2 projects due friday and i have no idea what to do for one of them.

• what did i do instead? many things, including kitten stuff, reading fic, spamming the internet on twitter. so business as usual except for the time when i ended up looking for wincest fanart with aldehyde because we started talking about spn big bang and she was sad that there were so little non-manip fanartists for her ship (we also talked about leg hair, but i doubt anyone cares about that). i told her to make an art rec post on her lj with our findings. if she does, i can link to it here if anyone wants. me, i spent a ridiculous amount of time staring at this one (seriously nsfw)

• whipped up something for my photoshop class (well, its official name is "digital post-production", but... it's a photoshop class) we're doing photo retouching and the assignment was to put a tattoo on a body. this is what i'm showing. this makes me miss manipping. but i have no patience to make stuff like this or this anymore. besides, i lost all my stock images last year in a hd crash and i never rebuilt my archive.

- i am actually learning to cook now that i have to fend off by myself. it's pretty bitchin' and there is no risk of starting a fire since the stove is electric. XD the best part? there is nowhere around to witness my fail. my menu for the rest of the week is thus:

wednesday: pasta with mushroom sauce (my mushroom sauce is admittedly awesome)
thursday: tomatican with rice
friday: pastel de papas (no to the raisins and olives though- gross)

of course, the recipes my mama taught me are slightly different, but they're basically the same thing.

i have my first school assignment of the year and i'm already slacking off and wishing the semester would end already. wooooo.


had a scare with my keyboard earler- the keys either wouldn't respond at all unless i stabbed the shit out of them (and that only worked about a 70% of the time), or they typed double letters/spaces at the slightest pressure. my capslock key was like, inverted (having it switched off made everything come out in uppercase and vice versa) and random numbers typed themselves into what i was writing. i was starting to worry that i'd have to buy another one but i restarted the computer and it went back to normal. :s at least some people at f!s got a lol out of the results of my typing.

these are mostly for aldehyde and fera_festiva who want to send me stuff to decorate the place. and, er, for anyone else who wants to see them, i suppose.

the last two days have been pretty awesome:

- i found a tiny, yet nice apartment in santiago-- moving away next week x_x will i survive the first month? place your bets here.

- this morning i went downtown to donate for the animal victims of the earthquake-- didn't have time to buy food like i wanted to, so i donated the money i was going to use to buy it instead.

- spent the day at a resort with mom, 2 of my sisters and my cousin. ate like a pig, swam around in one of the like, 7 pools in that place, made progress in the book i'm reading, soaked up like 3 straight hours of sunlight, ate like a pig again.

(only downside: WTF BEES. IT WAS FULL OF BEES. ONE STUNG ME IN THE FINGER. D:)

- my help_chile auction thread will be open until the 10th-- i don't know if any of you is crazy enough to top the current bid, but just in case. i'm bidding on two authors, but i already got outbid on one. >_> fml.

- art coming up later? maybe?

oh my god, every time i think i'm finally done with school paperwork bullshit, someone somewhere either fucks something up, or gives me incorrect information one more time. i'm so sick of it. i just want to enjoy what's left of my vacations without all of this crap constantly looming at me and aaaaaaah. D: and i haven't even started looking for a new place to live yet. D:

took a bunch of hp comms off my flist, or kept them but stopped watching them. i feel good and bad about it at the same time. :/ i think i still feel some remaining guilt for abandoning the fandom like that.

because today i received another late gift from fera_festiva! a box filled with the most amazing things! giant barrettes, a beautiful pair of earrings and a scarf in my favorite color (try to guess which one it is!), ZELDA MINTS OMG (not my pic, but they're the same!), an adorable card vandalized by hilarious stickers, a lot of delicious candy and chocolate, photos, postcards & handmade resin pins (which, btw fera_festiva, i showed my mom and she was very impressed by your skillz). and also bubble wrap. XD i also saved all the papers the gifts came wrapped in, because i'm a total pack rat when it comes to paper.

today was also my posting day at dc_fireplace, and that went great too! i'll post a link here as soon as i'm done replying to comments.

and lastly i caught up with spn_gossip, and that was awesome too cause it brought the lulz.

• guyyyssss omg i've slept 2 hours in the last 2 days. it's awful. had two finals due today. (one tomorrow, two the day after) i rocked the 2nd one (scored 68 out of 70 in my final grade) and i'm pretty sure i did decently in the 1st one. i had to design and print a catalog of my own work and i did it all last night in... 6 hours. i still don't know how i pulled that off.

• after getting over some hang-ups too ridiculous to be mentioned again, i totes ship sam/gabriel now. thanks to this random comment!fic on f!s (here is the secret that inspired it, which is notoriously lacking in funny-- intentional funny, at least) which later led me to entangled_now's fic. i feel like kind of an idiot because i love her dean/cas stuff and it never occurred to me to check out what other pairings she had written. oh sammich, you're so my spn fandom bicycle.

• another thing i watched was millennium actress -- first anime i've watched in almost 6 years (well, apart from catsiel's chi's sweet home). BEAUTIFUL. i recommend it to everyone. it's a film, and it's easily found on youtube.

• so, i went back on the isotretinoin because my acne came back. i've been on it for 16 days already and oh god my faaaaaace. no amount of moisturizer can save me now. and let's not even mention my poor lips. i can't stop picking at the loose bits of dry skin and i end up with tiny bleeding rips all over them. as far as side effects go, that's the only one. at least i missed out on the blurry vision... the vomiting... rectal bleeding... depression... oy.

• i'm missing casday tomorrow. >:[ my teacher wants to kidnap us for the entire day AND POSSIBLY NIGHT tomorrow for some stupid trip. i'd much rather stay at home and watch spn. maybe i can make up some excuse to leave earlier.

• i learned to use adobe illustrator today! wasn't as awful as i thought it'd be.
